Biography

Heide’s research is in the design, implementation and evaluation of applied immersive games (including the use of emerging technologies like augmented/virtual reality) as effective instruments for problem solving. She is exploring their role for decision-making processes in complex systems, and research of socio-technological systems.

Project role

In the ‘Beneath the Waves’ research programme, Heide is creating and using innovative technological methods to communicate complex science by developing novel “serious-games” to target difficult-to-reach audiences.
