Biography

Jeff has completed his MSc in Geophysics at Université de Paris and moved to New Zealand to complete his PhD. Jeff is now investigating how highly destructive pyroclastic density currents are interacting with water bodies. 

Project role

Supported by the Raranga Whāriki Papa Moana | Beneath the Waves programme, Jeff is undertaking a PhD in experimental volcanology at Massey University. His research focuses on how pyroclastic density currents propagate across the water surface and generate tsunamis. He is conducting experiments within the PELE facility with his supervisors Gert Lube and Ermanno Brosch.
