Biography

William Power specialises in all aspects of tsunami research, including forecasting techniques; modelling the generation, propagation and impacts of tsunami waves; tsunami hazard assessment; and evacuation zone development and modelling.

Project role

In the ‘Beneath the Waves’ research programme, William is involved in the design and interpretation of numerical and physical models of tsunami wave generation by volcanoes. He will also participate in the preparation of tsunami hazard and risk maps.
